A SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING of the Surbiton & District Bird Watching Society will be held in The Main Hall, Surbiton Library Annex, Ewell Road, Surbiton at 8.00 p.m. to agree the Annual Subscription as of 1st August 2012 - pursuant to Rule 7(a).
It is proposed that the annual subscription shall be held at £15 for adult membership and for members under the age of 16 on 1st August, the subscription, currently £2.50, shall be raised to £5 with effect from 1st August 2012.
Proposed by G. D. Caine and seconded by D. A. Wooldridge.
The normal monthly meeting will follow immediately afterwards.
The subscription for members under 16 was last raised on 1st August 1989 at which time the adult subscription level was £6. The committee feels that the subscription rate for junior members should be raised to a more appropriate level and at £5, which is one third of the full membership, will be excellent value for money in today's terms.
